 | Anderson Red-Hot, NL Player of the Week Monday, June 6th, 2011: 23-year-old John Anderson made a few Philadelphia headlines during this past week as the rookie right fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Northern League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 31 at-bats to put up a .387 average. Anderson collected 3 home runs, 10 RBIs and scored 8 runs. Thus far this season Anderson is hitting .291 with 11 home runs, 48 RBIs and 40 runs scored. He has 67 hits in 230 at-bats and has played in 54 games. |
