Monday, June 20th, 2011: A blow for Jesse Burkett today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 2-3 weeks with a forearm strain. Burkett suffered the injury throwing the ball. Although officials from the New York Heroes are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Burkett's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature.
During the current season Burkett is batting at a .292 clip with 6 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has played in 69 games and scored 32 times.
