Wednesday, June 22nd, 2011: After injuring himself, Engines right fielder Elmer Flick headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after being hit by a pitch and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Flick will miss at least 3-4 weeks with a fractured foot.
For the season Flick is currently batting .348 with 12 home runs and 39 RBIs. In 70 games he has reached base at a .465 rate and scored 57 runs to date.
