 | SL Selects Rookie Star of the Month Friday, July 1st, 2011: Justin Morneau earned June's Rookie of the Month honors in the Southern League for last month's performance. The boyish Los Angeles first baseman might be wet behind the ears, but he's proving that he has what it takes to play at this level. Morneau hit .333 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored this past month on his way to winning the award. Presently Morneau is batting .336 with 36 hits and 3 home runs. He has knocked in 14 runs and scored 14 times. |
