Wednesday, July 6th, 2011: Charlotte fans will be disappointed to learn that Mark Reynolds suffered plantar fascitis while running the bases in today's game. After the doctor informed the Charlotte Cougars manager that Reynolds was expected to miss 5 weeks, the manager told the press that the rest of the team would have to step up their play until the third baseman could return. "You can't make excuses in baseball, because there's always a game tomorrow," said the team's skipper.
For the year Reynolds is batting .327 with 112 hits and 13 home runs. He has scored 53 times and driven in 51.
