"He was getting ahead of us and keeping the ball off the plate," said the Las Vegas manager. "Rhines kept us confused the whole game." The Los Angeles hurler rang up 7 strikeouts and issued 1 walk in his 7-0 shutout victory. Thus far this season Rhines has posted a 9-8 record, started 20 games, struck out 89 batters in 158.1 innings and compiled a 4.09 ERA. |
