New York starter Harry Howell tamed the Louisville Racers 7-0 with a 6-hit shutout, finishing the game with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk in a sharp outing. "I enjoy facing a team like that where I can get an out on one, two or three pitches," Howell said. "It gives me a chance to be a lot more aggressive." Thus far this season, Howell has worked 102.2 innings with 69 strikeouts en route to a 4-5 record and a 4.12 ERA. |
