 | More Woes For Orcas Buck Ewing
Wednesday, July 20th, 2011: Buck Ewing is hurting again, just a few days into his treatment for a strained abdominal muscle. Apparently the injury worsened, so the Orcas sent the 23-year-old catcher back to the doctors for reexamination. Ewing told them that the pain had gotten much worse in recent days. It was confirmed that the injury was indeed much more severe that first thought. He was sent to a specialist, who felt that treatment would be longer than first diagnosed. Ewing will now miss a minimum of 3 weeks.
Ewing is currently batting .269 with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs.
