 | McVey Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Friday, July 22nd, 2011: Fans around the league are beginning to get interested in the Idols 27-year-old catcher Cal McVey. What is drawing all the attention is his 25-game hitting streak. McVey extended it again in today's game with the Engines with 2 hits. But it wasn't enough. Indianapolis won the game 9-6. C. McVey doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 4th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th. This year McVey is batting .354 with 8 home runs. |
