 | Orcas Freeman Snags SL Player of the Week Monday, May 16th, 2011: At the age of 28, Buck Freeman might have some potential he hasn't realized yet -- if his success at the plate last week is any indication. The Orlando first baseman put up some exceptional numbers the past seven days with a .500 batting average. For his efforts Freeman collected the Southern League Player of the Week Award. He racked up 14 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 home runs and 6 RBIs last week in 7 games. Thus far in 2011 Freeman is hitting .248 with 7 home runs, 17 RBIs, 20 runs scored and has compiled a .358 OBP. |
